It should be noted that at the end of the piece, on side A of the disc (n°10626), a presenter present at the time of the recording, thanks a certain [Si Mḥamad al-Šarbī] for his performance. - The disc's matrix numbers appear distinctly in the Pathé publisher's catalog "Moroccan Directory of Pathé Records" from 1912. A second Pathé publisher's catalog "Moroccan Directory of Pathé Records", dating from 1926, also mentions them. Both catalogs associate the artist's name with the city of Fez. Spelling variant of the artist's name: Maâlma Brika. |
