This disc was reissued during the 1920s (available under reference AP-3259). - Side A: piece performed by mahlema Brika, a Moroccan singer associated with the city of Fez; an “aïta”, which literally means “the call”, corresponds to a musical genre. - Side B: sketch featuring two characters; the theme of this comic scene seems to be that of an unpaid debt. The record label cites the name of the Moroccan artist Mahlema Zohra El Marrakechia who probably played the female character in this sketch. |
