On the label of side A of the disc (no. 10799), the word "قصيدة" is spelled "ڧصيدة". At the end of the piece, on side B of the disc (n°10804), a presenter present at the time of the recording, thanks a certain [Mūlāy Idrīs] for his performance. - The disc is present in the Pathé publisher's catalog "Moroccan Directory of Pathé Records" from 1912. A second Pathé publisher's catalog "Moroccan Directory of Pathé Records" dating from 1926 also mentions the record. The catalogs associate the artist's name with the city of Fez. Variant spelling of the artist's name: Maalem Mohamed Tazi. |
