The record label specifies that the songs are in the Chleuh dialect, here spelled: "shloah". On both sides of the disc, the word "قصيدة" is spelled "ڧصيدة", the same goes for the word "تافلالت" spelled "تاڢلالت" on side A of the disc (n°10876). - The disc is present in the Pathé publisher's catalog "Moroccan Directory of Pathé Records" from 1912. A second Pathé publisher's catalog "Moroccan Directory of Pathé Records", dating from 1926, also mentions the record. Both catalogs associate the artist's name with the city of Tetouan. Spelling variant of the artist's name: Moulay Yahia de Tazeroualt. |
