Notes	The biographical work of Shaykh al-Islam Ârif Hikmet Bey. Mecmû'atü't-Terâcim is a work in which the lives of 1134 poets, writers, famous scholars and sheiks who lived in various periods are told in alphabetical order. Mecmû'atü't-Terâcimıdı shows the year in which the work was written in abjad calculation. While detailed information about some individuals is included in the work, some are mentioned in a sentence or just their names. has been passed over. There are gaps in some of the pages of the work, suggesting that it was written later (Kemikli 2003: 51). Ârif Hikmet Bey wrote his work in Arabic in 1234/1819. The only known copy of the work is registered in the Alî Emiri Department of the National Library, number 788. This copy was copied by Ali Emiri Efendi.
