Notes	A parallel written by the famous Shaykh al-Islam Ebussuûd Efendi to the rhymed philosophical ode of the well-known poet Ebu'l-Alâ el-Ma'ârrî (d. 1057) in alif mim letters. Kasîdetü'l-Mîmiyye, written in Arabic and in the meter of fe'ûlü/mefâ'îlün/fe'ûlü/fe'ûlün in the tavil section of the aruz, consists of 93 couplets. The nasib part of the Kasîde, which is considered among Hikemî poems, begins with the name of the lover and the love felt for him. It is understood that the beloved mentioned in the couplets, which are about longing for the past, for the beloved, reproaches and regrets, is the happiness and prosperity in the world. In the eulogy section, the honor and value of science are praised and complained about not being appreciated. The ode ends with the statement that the arrogant people who lived in the past are mortal and God is always eternal (Elmas 2017: 53-54). el-Kasîdetü'l-Mîmiyye is one of the most famous poems of Ebussuûd Efendi, who has Arabic, Persian and Turkish poems and fatwas in verse (Aydemir 1968: 30). Currently there are 7 poems. Analogues and commentaries were written on Ebussuûd Efendi's ode, a copy of which was identified. The most famous of the commentaries is el-Mensûru'l-'Ûdî alâ Manzûmi's-Su'ûdî (Elmas 2017: 55, Kızılcık 2007), which has various copies in the Süleymaniye Library.
