Notes A 74-couplet Persian Sufi work written by Şâhidî in ode verse form. Risâle-i Âfâk u Enfûs was written in the fâ῾ilâtün fâ῾ilâtün fâ῾ilün meter. Although it was stated in some manuscripts that this work belonged to Mevlana or Sultan Veled, Abdülbaki Gölpınarlı stated that this work did not belong to Mevlana or Sultan Veled, and that the language and style of the work was loose and weak and therefore it belonged to Şâhidî. The work does not have a fluent style, and there are language glitches, simple and unfounded words, and rhyme disorders. In this work, Şahidi touched upon the position and nature of man in the world, and stated that his ear is the west, his mouth is the east, his feet are the ground, his head is the sky, his chest is Mount Tur, his heart is Moses of love, and the light of his mind is Muhammad. The author, who used verses and hadiths in his work, briefly touched upon the legends of the prophets. In the work, the names of the four great angels are mentioned, their duties are expressed, the human body and soul are examined, and human limbs are compared to beings on earth. Sufi concepts are also included in the work. A master's thesis study was conducted on the work by Mürşide Topçu (2009). For the biography of the poet, see. "Şâhidî, Muğlalı İbrahim Dede".
