Fiziksel açıklama WARP: dark brown wool; Z2S; 14 threads per inch (60 per dm) WEFT: brown wool; Z-spun, unplied; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 8-9 knots to the inch (32-34 per dm). PILE: wool; 7 colours: dark red, yellow, dark green, dark blue, blue, dark brown, white; asymmetrical knot, open to the right and tied around 2 warp threads; 60 knots per sq. inch (990 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: 4 cords overcast in pairs in alternating blocks of red and blue wool. END FINISH: Lower: 24 cms. plain weave with red weft and including narrow bands in blue/brown/white and yellow on red; loose warp threads max. 16 cms. long. DESIGN: Field: dark blue ground, with dark brown areas, decorated with a variation of the Herati pattern; it has the dominant curled leaves but lacks the diamond structure. There are predominantly red blossoms and leaves sometimes outlined with yellow. The spaces between these are filled with stars and circles. In places the edge of the field is toothed. Borders from centre: 1) red ground with blue, green and brown hollow diamonds each with a central flowerhead and yellow and white half diamonds offset. (2) red ground with 4-lobed motifs each with a star and joined by a star; they are divided by bars of tiny flowerheads on a coloured ground. (3) as (1) (4) yellow ground with red flowers (5) blue or brown rectangles on red ground enclosing a geometric flower or leaf. There are no leaves along the top and bottom borders. (6) as (4) (7) diagonal blocks with triangles in various colours. Catalogue date: 26.11.97
