Fritware tankard, of bulbous shape on small foot, with a small ring handle with a thumb piece. Decoration in black under a turquoise glaze, two bands - one below the rim, the other on the lower body - with inscriptions incised through a black slip, in between the bands are arabesques patterns with stylised leaves, the latter decorated with a hatched star pattern. The lower body with alternating 'willow sprays' and stylised leaves, the foot is partly unglazed.
