Saddle cloth of slit tapestry wool and cotton. Cut across the width close to the inner border along the upper edge and rejoined with part missing. DESIGN: Field: dark blue ground with 19 bands of 22 or 22 and 2 half small botehs across the width. The botehs are off-set and alternate in direction in each band. MAIN BORDER: yellow ground with stylised bracketed lozenges. INNER AND OUTER BORDER: these curved around the slit for the pommel. Blue ground with crosses and blossoms.
