Tapestry woven silk. Egytpian, ca. AD1000-1500. Striped pattern on red background. The stripes are in white, black, light blue and yellow. Each stripe (between approx. 3 and 8 mm wide) are edged with one/two lines of black thread. The piece is dirty and has small rips.
