Fiziksel açıklama
Cover, plain weave cotton embroidered with silk in straight stitches and running stitch, padded and quilted, backed with plain weave cotton with an added silk fringe. White cotton ground embroidered with red and green 2S silk. There is an inner and outer border with a green meander with leaves and red trefoil flowers. The main border has a diamond quilted ground using white silk and green leaves forming a meander with pairs of small red pointed flowers and one larger red and green pointed flower. The centre of the cover has a lobed medallion formed by a green band with red spots; there is a red and green rosette in the centre. A green 8-pointed star encircles this and links 4 large red blossoms in profile and 4 round red blossoms. A pair of green serrated leaves and a red trefoil emerges from the top of every blossom. On the outer edge of the lobed medallion there is a small red tree at the cardinal points. A quarter of this design is in each corner. The ground is filled with small sprigs with a red flower and 2 red buds; these sprigs point towards the central horizontal axis. The ground is quilted with the diamond pattern. Backing: pieced green cotton. Fringe: looped green silk from a woven heading. There are four green silk twill loops on the back of the upper edge, for display purposes.
