Jar of fritware, with compressed globular body and short tapering neck, painted in blue and outlined with black under a clear glaze. The neck is underlined by a broad scroll and contained within a rolled rim and a petal collar at the start of the shoulder. A scene consisting of two birds in flight and two others perched on rocks among leafy branches and strange flowers runs continuously round the body. The flat bottom is unglazed.
