Fiziksel açıklama Carpet with a woollen pile and cotton. WARP: white cotton; Z6S; 16-17 threads per inch (63-66 per dm); many warp knots showing on the worn face. WEFT: white cotton; Z>6S; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 11-12 knots per inch (40 per dm). PILE: wool. 11 colours: red, orange, yellow, green, light green, blue, light blue, purple, dark brown, brown, white; symmetrical knot tied around 2 threads; 88-102 knots per sq. inch (1260-1320 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: one cord oversewn with dark brown wool. END FINISH: Lower: 2.5 cms plain weave with white cotton above a warp-twined edge; immediately below the pile is one row of weft twining in brown and white wool. Upper: as Lower but with red and green wool weft twining and with some dark coloured weft mixed with the white. DESIGN: Field with a blue ground overlaid with a large jagged red ground lozenge outlined in yellow and light blue and within that is a smaller jagged lozenge outlined in blue, white and brown with 2 small pendants. This and the main field are filled with vertical stems bearing rosettes and other floral motifs on the field and hooked diamonds in the central lozenge. Around the inner lozenge is a white angular meander with green and white rosettes and green and brown leaves. MAIN BORDER: white ground with pairs of diagonal jagged leaves on either side of 3 small rosettes: the central one has a circle of flower heads and a pair of leafy brackets. INNER AND OUTER BORDERS: dark brown ground with floral meander on green stem. INNERMOST BORDER: white ground with angular floral meander with a single blossom from which springs a pair of leaves.
