Bowl of fritware, of shallow shape on high foot, decoration is carved through a thick black slip and covered with a turquoise glaze. The interior with a central crowned sphinx surrounded by arabesques foliage within a black band. Bold vertical strokes adorn the border. The exterior is left undecorated and covered with a turquoise glaze.
