Piece of voided silk velvet, woven in coral-red, crimson, green and white silk pile and silver-gilt strips on a red ground. Rows of symmetrical plant-forms with palmettes and long curved stems bearing carnations and other flowers. Cut voided satin valvet, metal strip ground; 5-shaft satin. Foundation warps of tan silk. Pile warps of white, green, black, red and tan silk. Foundation wefts: white silk. Pile wfts: cream silk, silver-gilt metal strip. Selvedge(?): stripe of apricot and white silk, satin, edge cut.
