Fiziksel açıklama Medallion Ushak Turkish carpet WARP: white wool; Z2S; 809 threads per inch (30-36 per dm) WEFT: light brown and light red wool; Z-spun, unplied, 2 shoots after each row of knots - sometimes there are two single thread and, sometimes one single and two parallel threads; 7 knots per inch (30 per dm); there are lazy lines. PILE: Wool; 8 colours ignoring the re-weaving in which colours have faded: red, yellow, dark green, dark blue, blue, light blue, very light blue, dark brown; symmetrical knot tied around 2 threads; average of 30 knots per sq. inch (average 495 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: missing and re-woven END FINISH: missing and re-woven DESIGN: field: red ground with dark blue floral tracery; on either side of the central medallion and to either side of the upper half medallion the trcery becomes a stylised branching stem. The central medallion is hexagonal with flame-like edges and two pendants. Within it is a 4-lobed design outlined and extending in yellow arabesques. There are two half medallions which have the same design but in different colours. The two pairs of half medallions are outlined in yellow and show part of a central inner medallion filled with blossoms. Main border|: blue ground with green cloud bands and red blossoms. Inner border: light blue ground with a floral meander of red blossoms. Outer border: red ground with a floral meander with blue blossoms.
