Fiziksel açıklama
Plain weave cotton embroidered with silk in straight stitches. Directional design with the top of the pattern at the bottom of the panel, so that the wearer saw the correct pattern. Selvedge along upper edge of panel. The embroidery has been cut down the sides. The lower edge is frayed but was probably a selvedge. There is an embroidered light green line along the upper edge, but no other border. The pattern is a series of black diagonal lines from lower right to upper left. There are two sizes of stripes: [1] narrow stripes: white ground with a large pink blossom and 2 buds alternating with 3 sixes of a grey flower. [2] wider stripe in two designs: [a] light green ground with a downward pointing large pink flower on a chevron stem and a spray of small white flowers on grey stems. [b] similar design but the spray of flowers is on dark red stems. Threads: Silk, 2S: black, white, dark red, dark pink, pink, light blue, light green, purple, light grey, dark grey, dark green, mauve, yellow.
