Fiziksel açıklama Rectangular fragment of plain woven undyed linen, possibly the end of a scarf, decorated with two parallel slit-tapestry woven bands of undyed linen and brown-dyed wool. The right side of the ground weave is fragmentary, but in some areas the starting or finishing border of warp fringes remain. Approximately 2cm in from the fringe are four self-bands each of four linen weft threads. On both smaller sides of the fragment there are selvedges. The piece is stained. Each of the tapestry bands forms the same pattern, of three ovals outlined in a foliated border. The left medallion contains a lion; the middle contains a naked human figure with one raised arm, and the other lowered and holding a round object; and the right contains a hair. At each end of the tapestry bands is a reverse arcade border. Details are picked out in flying- thread brocading. Ground weave: Linen warp (s-spun, 26/cm) Linen weft (S-spun, 22-24/cm) Tapestry panel: Linen warp (S-spun) Wool weft (Z-spun) Linen weft (S-spun) 12 ribs per cm
