Tapestry woven fragment, with selvedge either side. Probably from a tunic. Egyptian, ca. AD300-600. A panel of red and green floral decoration lies on a background of undyed wool. In the centre a red flower sits within a circle which sits within a red square. The square is surrounded by a square boarder of red geometic shapes on a green background. Approx. 16x13 tpc. Wool is 's' spun with thread dia. approx 0.5mm.
