Vase of buff earthenware painted with black under a deep purple glaze. Inverted pear-shaped with a short cylindrical neck and slightly spreading lip. Painted with sprays of formal arabesque foliage. On the shoulder and neck is scrollwork enclosed by horizontal lines.
