Malzemeler ve teknikler woollen yarn, weaving, tapestry weaving, brocading
Fiziksel açıklama Tapestry woven and brocaded woollen twill. Warp: wool, S-twist: dark green, green, pink, black, white, dark blue, yellow, orange, dark red, red and light red. Weft: wool: same colours as the warp plus light blue. The weft within each stripe matches the colour of the warp threads; the motifs have been brocaded. A series of stripes, each separated by a fine line of chevrons, and each decorated with a very small pattern: [1] yellow ground with a double meander and blue triangular motifs. [2] red ground with isolated groups of small indistinct spots in light blue and yellow which might be a flower. [3] green ground with a dark meander and red flower. [4] dark red ground with a indistinct meander and flower heads in red with white details. [5] white ground as [1] [6] light red ground as [2] [7] orange ground as [3] [8] dark green ground as [4] [9] pink ground as [1] [10] black ground as [4] This is a short piece and may have been woven as a sample to show the quality of the workshop. It is a loom piece and the lower end is marked with several shoots of white weft, a gap of 3 cm without weft and then a 1 cm band of white weft. The upper end has a band with several shoots of white weft after which it has been cut. The selvedge is undecorated white twill.
