Design: Field: dark blue ground with evidence of large-scale Herati pattern - green diamonds and angular stems with central rosette; pairs of serrated leaves in light blue and dark red on the diagonal corners, each pair framing another rosette. Along each band, punctuating this pattern, are large red composite blossoms and, elsewhere, small cream flowers. On the right-hand edge are 2 small animal motifs. Main border: cream ground with elaborate floral meander; large segmented purple blossoms alternate with red roses and the angular green stems are hooked as with thorns. Inner and outer border: brown ground with green meander and cream rosettes with pink and light blue leaves. Outermost border: light brown ground with dark brown floral meander with green cartouche-shaped leaves and with pink or light blue flowers along the sides and with multi-coloured flowers along the upper border. Innermost border: light brown ground with diamond-shaped flowers in either dark red / red of dark blue / blue with 3 small dark red and yellow leaves to the side.
