Bottle of grey fritware, painted in colours on a white slip and covered with a clear glaze. Bulbous body, with a narrow neck of which only half of the middle knop remains. The body is painted with a repeating design of roses, carnations and hyacinths on wavy stems. Round the base, the shoulder, and the knop are bands of arabesque on a blue ground. The intervening portion of the neck is decorated with tulips and carnations set alternately. The painting is in blue, green and manganese-purple outlined in olive-green.
