Silk lampas with gold thread
Fiziksel açıklama
Panel of silk lampas with a pattern of confronted dragon pairs in a wavy lattice of plant forms. The pattern was in gold, which is now almost gone, with light green outlines on a purple ground. Paired warp ends in 1.2 warp-faced twill forming a tabby pattern ground. The gold thread is a gilt, dark coloured membrane wound 'Z' on a fine 'Z' buff silk thread. A selvage, with two cords formed of multiple warp threads is present.
