Fragment of linen consisting of two pieces joined together with tapestry woven decoration. Tabby woven undyed linen with the warp and weft 'S' spun, and each of the two pieces have a band of tapestry woven ornament in the form of a tree crudely drawn. Weft of purple wool 'S' spun and undyed linen 'S' spun. At intervals pairs of warp threads from the ground can be seen at the back of the tapestry woven band and are also used as further decoration on the trees. Wefts from the ground are used in addition to decorate the tree trunks. The two pieces have been tacked together in recent times and tacked onto a modern piece of undyed linen.
