Plain weave unbleached cotton, hand-woven, embroidered with silk in satin and other straight stitches, pulled thread work, whitework. In the centre a rectangle containing four corner pulled thread work triangles with a central extended octagonal shape, again pulled thread work but forming a more open net. The rectangular frame is followed by a band of hexagonal pulled thread forms, more extended on the selvedge sides, interspersed with white silk stitched triangles, and then on the 2 hemmed sides a narrow band of either extended pulled thread hexagonal shapes or a line of small pulled thread lozenge forms on a stitched ground. The cotton thread is Z-spun. The white silk is 2S. There are two selvedges.
