A fragment of a tapestry curtain or wall hanging. Egyptian, ca. AD300-500. Woven in coloured wools (light and dark green, yellow and red) on a white background. The motif is of a tree with thick green leaves. There is a small circle of scorching at one end and some holes in the piece. approx. 24x6 tpc; double weft (white wool) is s-spun, approx. 0.5mm thread dia.
