Fiziksel açıklama Bag: described as in use. WARP: cream wool; Z2S; 20 per inch (78 per dm). WEFT: unplied areas: brown wool or goat's hair; Z spun, unplied; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 30 knots to the inch (118 per dm counted as 59 per 5 cms). PILE: wool; 7 colours: red, dark green, dark blue, purple, pink, brown, white; asymmetrical knot, open to the left; 300 knots to the sq. inch (4602 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: both sides have 2 cords overcast with purple wool. A plaited cord of dark brown goat's hair has been attached from above the deep band of pile and extends 57 cms. above the top of the band, knotted at the top. A multi-coloured woollen tassel, 44 cms max is attached to the lower end of the cord. END FINISH: lower: 1.75 cm. plain weave in cream and red weft, turned and stitched. Upper: as above. DESIGN: (as in use): face: seven bands of pile, the lowest is 6 cms. deep with a white ground with a band of stylised floral sprigs in dark red, dark blue and brown and a narrow border on three sides. The uppermost band is very narrow with a multi-coloured chevron and florets; between are five bands with brown ground and the same geometric pattern. Between the bands is 3-4 cms. of plain weave, mostly divided into bands of three by a double shoot in blue; the inner and outer bands are red and the central either light red or white. Above the uppermost piled band is 3 cms. plain weave in bands: red and then white (the white having two bands of green-flecked red weft) and then dark brown. Back: plain weave with cream weft and stained with 'bleeding from red dye in the fringe'. Fringe: the fringe is knotted into the ground and has a symmetrical knot over four warp threads; 31 cms. in length; dark red, red, dark green and blue knots are highlighted at intervals of 5 cms. with a single knot of brown wool and white cotton plied - the cotton and wool elements being both Z2S, they are jointly plied in the S direction; the brown and white is knotted over two warp threads.
