Mosque lamp of grey fritware, painted in colours over a white slip and covered with a clear glaze. In panels round the neck and body are the names of Allah, Muhammad and the first khalifs , Abu Bekr, Omar, Othman and Ali in Arabic characters. Globular body with three small loops for chains at the shoulder, and wide funnel-shaped neck. The shaped panels are surrounded by sprays of flowers and foliage, in white on a blue ground on the neck, and in blue on a white ground on the body. Round the mouth is an interlaced border, and round the bottom of the neck and base are borders of guilloche ornament. The bottom, which is perforated, is painted with two interlaced triangles.
