Notes
Panel of woven silk, cut and shaped for the neck and shoulders of a tunic. The diaper pattern, in buff on a red ground, consists of lozenges formed by leafy stems bent to an angle at the ends, with small quadruple lozenges at the points of intersection. These represent an angular version of S-shaped stems and quatrefoils. Within the lozenges are cross-shaped foliated devices alternately in circles or barbed quatrefoils.
