woven silk. Pieced; three pieces sewn together; the one on the right has a narrow band of reciprocal diamond-heads in green and pink along the lower edge marking the loom end. Dark blue ground divided into a diamond-shaped lozenge by a series of small green leaves; each diamond contains an upright stem bearing blossoms. The flowers in the lower row of the central panel are roses in profile with two buds with a band of long-petalled flowers above, three per stem in white or a brownish-red outlined with yellow. The left hand panel has the long-petalled flowers below a row of full-on roses below a sprig of three carnations. The right hand panel has a row of full-on roses below a row of carnations.
