A tapestry fragment, woven in coloured wools on linen warps (triple threads). S-spun. Egyptian, ca. AD300-600. The background is in dark blue. The design is of a green vine scrolling across the piece, circling floral icons (pinks, red, tan). One is the common Coptic icon of a rose/cross where a four heart-shaped petalled flower, with pointed ends towards each other, are separated with a short cross.
