Portion of the border of a woollen pile carpet. A row of pointed compartments and oblong cartouches containing floral devices, from which spring leafy stems in colours on a blue ground. On either side are narrow bands filled with wavy stems. At the top is a portion of the centre of the carpet with a pattern of cypresses, rosettes and triangular compartments of flowers.
