Dark blue ground divided into a diamond-shaped lozenge by a series of small green leaves; each diamond contains an upright stem bearing blossoms. The flowers in the lower row of the left hand panel are full-on roses below a sprig of three carnations. The right hand panel also has a row of full-on roses below a row of carnations below part of another, different, motif along the top - which seems to be the small flower enclosed by a pair of long, curved leaves.
