Caucasian carpet. WARP: dark brown wool with some white threads; Z2S; 12 threads per inch (48 per dm). WEFT: bands of assorted browns, yellow and light red wool; Z spun, unplied with some Z2S; with from 4 - 6 shoots after each row of knots; average of 7 knots per inch (average 28 per dm). PILE: wool; 7 colours: red, yellow, dark green, blue, purple, black, white: symmetrical knot tied around 2 threads; 42 knots per sq. inch (672 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: 2 cords overcast with brown, black and yellow wool. END FINISH: missing. DESIGN: Field, narrow red oblong divided below the centre: the upper part contains one gul in a blue rectangle. The oblong is divided and bordered by a line of angular rosettes on a blue ground. Main border: white ground with hooked diamonds. Outer border: red and dark green reciprocal trefoils - along the upper end, the base of the green trefoil is blue.
