Warp: white cotton; Z5S; 20 threads per inch (73 per dm). Weft: white cotton; Z-spun; unplied (sometimes the weft may have been loosely plied and unravelled); 2 parallel threads per shoot and 2 shoots after each row of knots; 8 knots per inch (33 per dm). Pile: wool; 7 colours: dark red, red, yellow, green, dark blue, blue, white; asymmetrical knot: open to left and tied around threads; 80 knots per sq. inch (1205 per sq. dm). Side finish: left-hand side - cut; right hand side - missing. End finish: both ends cut. Design: dark blue ground with red and yellow meandering stems bearing red and green rosettes; minor stems forming trellis for five-petalled flower.
