Fiziksel açıklama
Resist printed, block printed, plain weave cotton, probably hand woven. Cream ground with an incomplete pattern. There are two incomplete sections partly delineated by a composite border running along the bottom and upwards. This has a white ground patterned with a continuous line of green leafy lozenge frames containing a red, mauve and blue flower head on white or occasionally yellow grounds. This border is edged on both sides by a narrow yellow stripe with a thin meander of red buds and green leaves. The first section is patterned with a blue and green leafy stem and part of an exotic blossom in two shades of red, two shades of blue, yellow and mauve. The second section has a corner motif of a quarter red rosette on a yellow ground with radiating green leaves and red and mauve spikes. On a cream ground there are two partial tulip-like shapes edged in leafy green holding a flower plant spike in green with red and mauve blossoms.
