Tapestry woven silk. Compound twill. Persian? Possibly ca. AD1000-1400. Camels with one hump lie in bands across the piece. The camels are in pairs and look across their shoulders at each other. A tree sits between them. The camels have script on their stomachs. The background is a blue/green and full of floral patterning. The camels are in gold. One edge is selvedge.
