WARP: white; cotton, Z6S; depressed; density 24 cm. 96 dm. WEFT: blue, cotton, Z2S; 2 shoots after 1 row of knots. 16/", 64 dm. PILE: wool; 10 colours: light red, dark red, orange, yellow, green, dark green, blue, dark blue, purple, white. Knot: asymmetrical, open to the left around 2 warps 2// threads SIDE FINISH: one cord oversewn with red wool END FINISH: not possible to check DESIGN: 1) main - dark blue ground. Offset bands of 6 and 1/2 botehs, alternate direction in each row. Subtle colour changes in base of botehs, dark green or green/row. Botel - predominated red flowers. Borders from centre: 1) reciprocal diamond head blue.dark blue outlined in red 2) dark blue ground containing floral meander, predominately red and blue blossoms on red stem, and red diagonal leaf. 3) white ground - floral meander with red blossoms on dark blue stem. Surrounding details of stem vary along length of border, and vary between right and left border. 4) as no. (2) 5) as no. (1) END: lower (as woven:)cut, but evidence of plain weave with blue cotton weft. top: (as woven): same SIDE: one cord oversewn with red wool.
