'Piece two' has two pieces of the same fabric stitched down the centre (patterns in opposite direction) using whip stitch with white thread. At one end of the join is a small piece of another fabric. This piece (10x6mm) is tapestry woven, possibly with silk, in V shapes of differing colours - light blue, dark blude and orange.
