Fiziksel açıklama
resist printed, block printed, plain weave cotton, probably hand woven, with attached block printed plain weave, bias cut, plain weave cotton facing. This was obviously the backing for another, decorative textile. There is one selvedge. The main fabric has a white ground with isolated blue and red floral sprays in eight versions, four versions in one row and four versions in the alternate row. The facing is made from two different fabrics: [1] on three sides the cotton is decorated with a series of fine meandering stems carrying a profuse number of large and small flower heads and leaves in red, blue, green, yellow and purple, including sprays of very small flowers. [2] along the bottom the cotton is decorated with lozenges created by small red flowers overlaying a delicate black ogival lattice carrying flower heads in blue with red.
