Plain woven linen with looped wool pile Linen Wool Plain Weave Looped Pile
Fiziksel açıklama
Fragment of a plain woven undyed linen cloth, possibly a hanging or cover. Decoration has been created with looped pile, formed from picks of dyed woolen weft woven into the ground fabric. The pile decoration consists of an 'H' shaped ornament, with the centre in orange wool and the 'bars' of the 'H' in purple. At the bottom of the fragment are two horizontal bands of purple wool weft.
