Notes
Fragment from a large, plain woven undyed linen textile, possibly a hanging or curtain. The fragment preserves part of the figure of a male figure, tapestry woven in black, red and yellow wool and undyed linen. Only the head, with a bejewelled diadem, and part of both hands remain. It appeats that a cup is held up in the figure's right hand, and the left possibly holds aloft a floral stem or maybe a thyrsus, a pinecone-topped floral staff associated with the god Dionysus and his followers.
