Fiziksel açıklama
Plain weave cotton embroidered with silk in straight stitches and couching trimmed with silk cord and tassels. White ground with a simple outer embroidered border of a stroke and zigzag in red broken by occasional small green or yellow spirals. In the centre is an irregular roundel filled with concentric 11-pointed stars in various coloured silks surrounded by a pointed circle, followed by a red [pseudo-?] inscription. From this, four 'tongues' pointing into the corners with an infill of red meanders with various coloured leaves. In between, an irregular swirl, presumably a stylized peacock, each surmounted by a star motif and flanked by a multi-coloured bird in profile with small quadrupeds and floral swirls. The whole is edged with a black silk cord which has been sewn on. There are the remains of a tassel in each corner. Embroidery Thread: silk, 2Z.
