Fiziksel açıklama
Part of a border, printed and painted plain weave cotton. Displayed behind glass. White ground with blue along the lower edge. Effectively there are 6 bands, described from the bottom: [1] green ground with small blue star-like flowers and red 4-petalled flowers linked by a pair of curving dark stems; [2] white ground with 5 large many-petalled flowers in red. In between these are 2 different sprays of small stylized flowers and fine stems and leaves; [3] as [1]; [4] blue ground with one whole and 2 incomplete white ground cartouches containing inscriptions; [5] green band which turns a right angle and runs along the right hand side of this piece - there are small red flowers of varying design alternating with small curved leaves; [6] the same green ground with one whole and 2 incomplete white ground cartouches covered with fine red foliage and with an inscription. There was confusion in the right hand corner during printing and part of a 3rd horizontal cartouche was printed before the vertical border was imposed.
