A panel in green and dark/light cream silk. Egyptian, ca. AD600-900. Warp of dark cream and wefts of green and light cream. The panel has a central line of floral/geometric design. The image on each side is reversed. It is of a man on horseback with an arm out- stretched holding a staff. An eagle sits above the horse's head with it's head looking over its shoulder. Below the horse is a stylised tree, a man with a spear and a bird. The panel is bordered either side with a line of heart shaped icons and above/below with a solid green line.
