Notes A leaf-shaped panel from a linen cloth. Egyptian, ca. AD200-500. Tapestry-woven in coloured wools and undyed linen - loosely woven; 9x13 tpc (sys 1 x sys 2). In the middle is a tree/plant (white, yellow and mustard) on a dark blue background . This is surrounded by plain borders, first in dark green then light green, yellow and red. A small area of pink stem remains. Both wool and linen are s-spun. There are holes in the piece and a dob of sandy dirt on one central leaf.
