Notes A fragment from a square panel of woven wool (brown, cream and light pink). Egyptian, ca. Ad500-700. One side has a thick selvedge. This side includes a reverse arcade border with floral shapes in each dip, then a line of icons, each within a circle. The icons look like a bird, an animal and a vase?. One the central side of this is a reverse scallop border terminating with dots, with a small dot in each centre. The main decoration panel contain floral shapes in cream with brown borders on a pink background. The warp is of pink wool and s-spun. There are a number of holes across the piece.
