Tapestry woven wool fragment. Egyptian, ca. AD300-600. A band of design is woven on an undyed wool/cream background. One edge of the design is of the scrolling waves pattern in balck and white with two straight lines above the main design. The main design is difficult to make out but appears to contain a vase surrounded by figures (?). The design is brown and white. 9x36 tpc (sys 1 x sys 2), S spun.
